Thanks to Georges River Council a pop up skate park will be held at Olds Park in Peakhurst. So grab the skateboard or your coolest roller skates and head down to Olds Park to bust some moves!
The pop up skate park will include a street course and a 3ft mini ramp aswell as a free sausage sizzle on Friday the 8th with thanks to Oatley Lions Club. The launch of this event kicks off from Saturday the 9th from 2pm. You’ll find a variety of food stalls, a pop-up skatepark, live music, bubble soccer, wheelchair basketball, art workshops and youth service stalls.
This fun pop up activity is part of the Georges River Youth Festival.

Want to get the kids involved in some creative activities over the holidays? How about learning to sew? Oatley cottage have some great introductory classes for kids at their store in Oatley.
From beginners to intermediate there is a class for both levels. The price of the class includes tuition, a pattern and sewing machine hire. Creative kids vouchers are also accepted from Service NSW.

Whats on offer:
In the first week students will be making a Drawstring Backpack – students will learn how to use a sewing machine while creating a fully lined backpack.
No previous sewing machine skills are needed so this class is perfect for beginners.
