Nestled in the ‘sporting hub’ of Rockdale is the all inclusive Ador Reserve Rockdale.
Boasting a modern designed playground for the local community with adjacent skate park, car park, and synthetic turf sporting fields there really is something for everyone including families, sporting groups, skateboarders, cyclists, scooter riders, walkers, mothers with prams and even a toddler play area.
The playground has significant structural climbing equipment for the more adventurous children aswell as incorporating nature play with sandpits, a shared cycling and walking track, childrens bike path and pump track and again the adjacent skatepark.
The area has been smartly designed by taking cues from the unique surroundings of the Roockdale wetlands. The design incorporates a range of water saving urban design principles and a large number of the diverse plantings will also help to reduce urban heat while providing shaded ambience to paths and the playground areas. Shade sales are also erect over the playground and bbq areas.

The park is surrounded not only by state of the art sporting fields but also a cycle track and small pump track and architectural designed toilet block. If this is not extreme enough for your tribe then why not give the adjacent skate park a run for its money.
The skate park includes two large skate bowls and many other concrete and metal structures allowing the kids to grind, kick flip and fakie until their hearts content.
Elements of nature play are also significant throughout the park and with interpretive signage and artwork explaining the endemic landscape character, significant local flora and fauna and providing a historical timeline of the wetlands its hard not to appreciate how this smartly designed park the softens the grand play euiptment with its tranquil surroundings.
