Gabriellas at the Grove in the morning light – 31 Seymour Street Hurstville Grove
Located in the sleepy little suburb of Hurstville Grove you will find the family friendly cafe, Gabriella’s at the Grove. Where the coffee is tops, the loaded milkshakes come with fairy floss and the service comes with a smile.
From operating cafes in Sydney for over 20 years, Owner Jason has now settled into the suburbs bringing with him a wealth of cafe knowledge and the local community is reaping the benefits.
Sadly after losing their daughter Gabriella in 2020, Jason and his wife decided it was now or never to bring his dream to life and as a dedication to his little girl, Gabriellas at the Grove was brought to life.
“Gabriella, Carried for a moment, loved for a lifetime. Our daughter, our angel, too beautiful for this earth” – Jason, Gabriella’s at the Grove.
If you have grown up in the area you might remember when this humble little building was once the local corner store. However if you didn’t, fast forward to circa 2020 and the transformation is incredible.

The first thing I noticed about this trendy cafe, aside from the aroma of Toby’s Estate coffee wafting through, is the ample amount of room available. As you walk through the wide open bi-fold doors you are immediately greeted with a large dining table that is ideal for groups of up to 10. The perfect way to celebrate a birthday, host a business lunch or share a tea with your best mum friends.

Planning a more intimate setting, don’t despair you are spoilt for choice with the remaining seating available throughout the cafe.
Prams and high chairs also arent an issue at Gabriellas at the Grove with many high chairs available, change table facilities located in the immaculately clean bathrooms and an extensive children’s menu it makes for a perfect place to share a meal with the kids in tow.
Owner Jason really has thought of everything. Having 4 children of his own he has catered to the needs of the many children that visit the cafe each day. Gone are the days of the only choice for kids being highly processed, deep fried options and say hello to options like mini breaky plates and Gnocchi with Napolitana sauce.

But it doesnt stop there with an extensive chef prepared all inclusive menu for everyone to enjoy with all day breakfast being served and a lunch menu commencing at 11am. You can truly appreciate the thought that has gone into bringing this menu to life. From Shared breakfast boards to Wagyu burgers, Healthy green bowls and Souvlaki plates. It has incorporated all dietary preferences including an abundant amount of choices for gluten free, dairy free and Vegan.
Also, if you’re on the run, then the Hey You App combined with the take away window is going to be your best friend.

Holiday Workshops
To continue the all inclusive feel Jason has also newly introduced school holiday workshops and we had the oppotunity to attend our first workshop which allowed the kids to assemble their own edible terrariums. Workshops are kept small to allow a hands on experience for each child and participants are then able to leave proudly displaying their creations, that’s if they haven’t been eaten before you finish your coffee! We look forward to what’s coming next holidays.

Gabriellas at the Grove is definitely somewhere I would suggest to meet a girlfriend, sit and pump out some work or enjoy a Sunday brunch with the family. Open 6 days a week, Wednesday to Monday, 6:30am – 4pm. This family run business is a wonderful addition to the local community and I hope to see them flourish for many years to come.
